what this covers

This privacy notice explains how relocated.ai processes personal information you choose to share with us. relocated.ai is an independent relocation strategy service operated by its founder from the Netherlands, and the founder is responsible for the processing described here.

information we receive

We only receive personal information that you choose to provide:

• name
• email address
• information provided when requesting or arranging a strategy session
• information about your circumstances, priorities and relocation plans
• correspondence you send to us

Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the service.

how it is used

We use this information to:

• respond to enquiries
• arrange and deliver strategy sessions
• prepare personalized relocation recommendations
• communicate with you about the engagement
• meet applicable legal or administrative obligations where necessary

We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party marketing.

legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis depends on the activity. Responding to your enquiry and arranging a session is generally necessary to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement. Delivering a session and the accompanying roadmap is generally necessary to perform that agreement. Keeping records where the law requires it is based on compliance with a legal obligation. Where another lawful basis applies to a specific activity, that basis is used instead.

analytics and cookies

This site uses no cookies by default. The only optional technology is Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5YYVX8G8MX), provided by Google Ireland Limited, which we use to understand aggregate site usage such as page views and traffic sources. It is not used for advertising, remarketing, profiling, heatmaps or session recording.

Google Analytics is only activated after you actively accept analytics in the consent banner. Before that, and if you reject, no Google tag is loaded and no analytics cookies (such as _ga or _ga_<id>) are set. Google Consent Mode v2 signals are set to denied by default for analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization. If you accept, analytics storage is granted and Google sets first party analytics cookies that typically expire after up to two years; the advertising related signals stay denied.

Your choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage key "relocated.analytics-consent"). It is strictly necessary to remember your decision and is never sent to us or to a third party.

service providers

The site is served by a hosting provider, correspondence runs through an email provider, and Google provides analytics as described above. If scheduling or payment services are added later, those providers will be described here before they are used. Providers receive only the information necessary to provide their service.

Some providers, including Google, may process personal information outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer relies on a lawful transfer mechanism under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. We cannot state that all data remains within the EEA.

retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including applicable legal, accounting or record-keeping requirements. Where the law prescribes a minimum retention period for a category of records, that period applies.

your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability, and you may object to certain processing. To exercise a right, contact hi@relocated.ai.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
